  Laurie Miller Musselman Thank you, William Johnson for clarifyng that. That original report was poorly written and made no sense. For one thing, the woman is in a situation of her own choosing. She has a banned breed. Secondly, she is whining so loudly about her pit bull that the wealthy pit nutters are throwing money at her. She knows how to play the victim and milk it for sympathy and money. Thirdly, they raised over $7,000.00 in a gofundme account and that is plenty of money for her to move to a new place. Finally, she is complaining,"“Everything is in [Dopke’s] name. The lease is in his name. The utilities are in his name. I don’t know what’s going to happen with my dog,” If everything is in his name, you can just walk away, dipsey doodle. To top it off, she is going to leave the city a worse place after her dog got violent with her boyfriend. This is how: A petition, with a goal of 78,000 signatures, has also been started to change the city’s breed ban. As of March 26, the petition had 77,896 signatures. She is not just a whiner and getting cash for it, she gets to move, with money put out there for her, for free, and now she is trying to change the breed specific laws that made the place a good place to live.

  Lisa Gaffney This story is nothing more than yet another attempt to get an angry mob response to pressure city officials to remove a law that is in place for good reason. I find it odd that so many will get so upset that a pit that supposedly helps someone (I seriously doubt that... translated, it probably attacked the guy and this is the excuse she made up to excuse the dog's vicious (surprise, surprise!) behavior) and wants to stay in a city that he should not even be in to begin with, yet no one seems to have a problem with pits that kill human beings being rehomed within the same community or pushed off on another unsuspecting area. Pit bull propaganda. Plain and simple.
